This course traces the personal and political passions and legacy of one of our greatest founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson. We are eternally indebted to him for his genius and wisdom in his creation of our most sacred document, the Declaration of Independence. Learn about the man revered as America’s first philosopher-politician, and his vast array of remarkable accomplishments that include political, intellectual, artistic, scientific, diplomatic, and humanitarian. In addition, gain a unique understanding of why he is also considered one of the most formidable enigmas in U.S. History.
Through the outstanding research of Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Jefferson expert, Jon Meacham, gain insight into Jefferson’s personal and professional triumphs and tragedies.
