This course explores the Constitution by referencing the first of founding documents, the Declaration of Independence. Study begins with historical and theoretical explorations of devising a government that would equally endow all people with “certain unalienable rights.” The difference between “rights” and “interests” are discussed in depth, as are other philosophical issues that contribute to the understand of the Federal Constitution.
